A Variety of Swim Caps for Everyday and Workout Needs

The average swimmer will have at least one swim cap on. Although many people buy swim caps for various reasons - protection, style, etc. - swim caps are made to provide comfort and support. Many swim shirts also feature a mesh cover that keeps the heat in and your head dry. But, what if your swim cap doesn't meet all your needs?

When it comes to swim wear, there's nothing more annoying than having a hot, sticky head of hair trapped behind caps. They're also very soft and stretchy, so that they won't rub or snag the hair behind them. Speedo silicone swim caps have come out with over a dozen exciting colors, offering you lots of options for your swimwear. Overall, they're a great choice and a great value for a durable, comfortable cap.

When looking for custom swim caps for any purpose, size is an important factor. If you're going for style, you might want to consider something with a printed design or pattern. But, if you're just looking for protection, you'll want to choose a smaller cap. Cap sizes vary by brand, but the most popular sizes are probably standard, small, large, extra large, and super-large. For standard swim caps, you can find them in nearly every size from large to small. You can even find ones with interchangeable backs to help avoid having to purchase a new one each time you switch teams.

Other types of swim caps offer different materials. One option is the classic silicone swim cap. Silicone is made from natural ingredients that resist oil, moisture, and bacteria. These swim caps are great for the pool, but they aren't as resistant to tear and wear as the newer synthetic alternatives.

A favorite of many swimmers, swim caps are used for both leisure and work outs. While you might use these for workout purposes, you'll also see people wearing them for recreation purposes as well. Capacitors give the wearer full range of motion when pumping iron, as well as increased resistance during workouts. Capacitors are also popular when using exercise equipment such as treadmills and elliptical machines. These give you more of a workout without taking your eyes off of the road.

Not only are swim caps used for workout purposes, there are also caps to keep hair from flowing around your face. Keeping hair from flying around your face and neck can be very irritating after a while. This problem is compounded by wind blowing into your face, which can leave you with an itchy scalp and an itchy face. Capes with clips on the back will keep hair out of your face and help you keep a level look. These are perfect for summer seasons when you want to go bare faced but keep hair off your face.

While all types of swim caps, both synthetic and natural, come in a variety of colors, some people prefer to wear special colors such as neon, aqua and bright pink. It's not uncommon for someone to wear their favorite sports team's colors when working out. You might find someone wearing their jockstrap or Texas state pride team's colors, or they might prefer to wear a color coordinated to their wedding or honeymoon.

Another fun feature of swim caps are the different kinds of closures on the front of the head band. Most are made with Velcro, but there are some made with buttons, ties and clasps as well. Some people like to change the way that the cap looks by adding a tennis ball through the hole. With the Velcro closure, you can pull the cap down to let the tennis ball through, or you can simply button it up. With the button, tie or clip, it makes it much easier to get your hair in a neat bun or ponytail, if that is what you prefer. Whatever the look you are going for, you are sure to find a variety of choices for swim caps that suit your personal style.
